Alessandra Fiordaliso (Italia) - Turbine
The artist has created, for Cartasia 2010, a dynamic and suggestive installation. A whirl composed by alveolar panels in recycled paper supported by a structure that rises into the sky symbolizing the movement of energy and its renewal. "Creativity is everyone's. Creativity is renewable energy. It begins as a soft breeze, moved by fantasy, and pushed by passion, rises to an impetuous and in containable movement.

Alexey Chebykin (Russia) Infinity of Creativity
Alexey Chebykin, world-famous architect, gives shape to his idea with a symbolic work on the endless flow of creativity. The structure he proposes consists of a cardboard knot where creative shape flows without interruption giving us the feeling of infinity. The flexibility of the shape and the stiffness of the sculptural construction reveal the endless possibilities of creating works of art from paper and cardboard.

Alice Visin (Italia) - Old Newspapers...news!
The newspaper is the main material for this monumental necklace, a jewel that Visin uses to "dress up" the city. Communication in printed media is recycled and transformed into artistic creation. "Words and images pulled away from oblivion, trapped in the shape before the throwing away. Blossoms that reveal, within the folds, the lightness of paper and the weight of words "

Enzo Iorio (Italia) Ri-Parliamone
The installation, realized with books from waste paper and glue, suggesting the idea of the renovation related to the recovery and re-use: the book, creative object and symbol of culture, is recycled and becomes a work of art.

Stefano Pilato e Barbara Bertuccelli (Italia) - Ed_era carta
"Ed_era carta" is a cheerful, voluminous, playful, visual invasion, that only the lightness and the emotion of paper can make. Abused forms, borrowed from the usual language and from virtual language, like stars, hearts, ellipses, are connected with each other and discover a new sense. These forms, almost meaningless are recycled giving life to a new form of creativity.

OUT OF CONTEST
- Richard Sweeney (Inghilterra) - Surface 2
Sweeney's art can be categorized as a hybrid of craft and research: shaping the material and exploring the possibilities. Paper as a gentle but firm structure. The result creates suspended atmospheres and crystalline landscapes, all this only with a sheet of paper.

- Rodrigo Solorzano (Messico) - Bear
In his design work Rodrigo seeks to engage users in a playful interaction with the object. His interest in creativity and play led him to design a range of interactive cardboard toys for children. Recently his work has crossed over into sculpture: experimentations with scale and materials have led him to produce simple and beautiful pieces that are based on geometrical abstractions of the world around us.
